The ninth grade departed from Los Angeles this morning on a flight to Tucson, Arizona for a backpacking trip with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) for Arrow Week. The students will be gone from March 13 to 20.

The freshmen will head to the NOLS Southwest branch for one night and then proceed to backpack in small groups about the Galiuro Mountain Range.

Six faculty chaperones are accompanying the students, including English teachers Jenn Babin and Virginia Wooten, history teacher Margaret Shirk, Head Librarian Stefanie Daehler, science teacher Jacob London and Upper School Director Samantha Coyne-Donnel.
