The Varsity Archer Tennis ended its season with two athletes qualifying for CIFSS and a perfect league record.

As the season closed, the Oracle asked players on the team to reflect upon their experiences during the season.

When asked about her goals for the past season, Sara Rabinowitz ’17 said in a phone interview,

“This year I really hoped to bring the team as a whole much closer and our relationships definitely grew. I hoped to stay committed and dedicated, to grow technically within my tennis game as well as being able to believe in myself.”

The Varsity Tennis team compiled a league record of 7 – 7 overall. Annie Moore ’17 attributed their success to Archer, saying that the Archer crowd was “always cheering us on no matter what the turnout.”

Rabinowitz credited the triumph of the season to this year’s seniors and coach: “We were able to spend the past one and a half months playing and learning from one another. None of that could’ve been made possible without the encouragement of Coach Coleman and our amazing seniors: Rachel Magnin, Marcella Stanley and Claire Kristof.”

Coleman stated, “The entire team had fun and fought hard all season while developing their overall game; student-athletes overcame injuries and dealt with illness enabling them to perform on the court. Archer Tennis is poised and always searching for the next competitive challenge.”
