Restaurant Review: Cafe Gratitude
  • Service
  • Ambiance
  • Food Quality
  • Uniqueness

Located in the hip area of Venice and across from Moon Juice, Cafe Gratitude is truly unique.

Other restaurants such as Gjelina and Lemonade are not at all like the mixture of positivity and fine cuisine that Cafe Gratitude offers.

According to their website, Cafe Gratitude set out to provide people with quality food—food that is natural, organic and good for your soul—food that is also vegan.

An example of a dish that exemplifies healthiness is Cafe Gratitude’s delicious smoothie. The ingredients vary, but they mostly include vegetables, fruits, and/or nuts. A smoothie that is a personal favorite of mine is “I am Grace.” This includes coconut milk, almond butter, dates and vanilla bean.

The popularity of Cafe Gratitude is predictable given the healthful food it provides. People who enjoy Cafe Gratitude range from young women just out of yoga class to families having lunch.

At Cafe Gratitude, clear open space provides a simple yet warm eating environment. Its modern features and comfortable seating make going there an extremely enjoyable experience.

The waiters at Cafe Gratitude are young and in their 20s with extremely positive attitudes. The servers are polite and concerned about the customer’s well being. Their attitude exemplifies that of the restaurant.

An example of an option on the menu that I recommend is “I am Present.” This is an appetizer that includes balsamic fig vinaigrette, heirloom tomatoes and mozzarella cheese on a slice of whole wheat bread. If you want a warm dish, I recommended “I am Magical,” which is an extremely healthful veggie burger. It is made up of a bean curd patty, a whole-wheat bun and includes a variety of vegetables.

Some of the positive names of these many dishes and drinks are “I am Grace” and “I am Fabulous.” These appealing names go down to the very name of the restaurant, Cafe Gratitude. To enhance the overall Cafe Gratitude experience, the restaurant provides a positive quote of the day, which the restaurant-goer can ponder while munching on delectable delicacies.

The reason for naming dishes “I am a characteristic” rather than just “veggie burger” is because the goal is, as the Cafe Gratitude website explains, to “invite you to step inside and enjoy being someone that chooses: loving your life, adoring yourself, accepting the world, being generous and grateful every day, and experiencing being provided for.”

Archer girls would love this restaurant because it’s somewhere that a lover of fine cuisine can experience the future of the cuisine world; somewhere that has food that is extremely healthful, vegan and uses local farmers.
