Senior and photographer Shishi Shomloo ’15 opened her first photo gallery titled “Father of Mine at Archer at 3:10 pm Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Shomloo has been taking photography classes at Archer since eighth grade; she started photographing portraits her junior year.

The photos depict select seniors posing with their fathers at home — one mother was also included.

“I wanted to show a variety of relationships,” Shomloo said in an interview with the Oracle.

Her photos portray the different father-daughter relationships at Archer.

According to Shomloo, she originally got the idea for her gallery from photographer Nafise Motlaq from Iran. Motlaq photographed fathers and the diverse daughters they raised.

Photography teacher Carly Steward told the Oracle this was her first year working with Shomloo in the Advanced Studies in Photography class.

“I am so proud,” Steward said, smiling.
