Due to rain, Winter Wonderland took place in the Dining Hall this year. With a hot cocoa stand, an intense grade level gingerbread house competition and Archer’s annual “Panther Pics” photo booth, Archer’s Winter Wonderland celebration was “unforgettable and warm,” according to sophomore Rachel Pike ’17.
Seaf Hartley ’16 said, “I missed having Winter Wonderland outside,” in response to the torrential downpour earlier that day.
Sofia Garrick ’16 disagreed, saying that “the rain makes it more cozy and wintery.”
“Even though Winter Wonderland was inside,” Ella Angel ’16 said, “the festivities still went on and it was a blast.”
As a member of the ASB, Hannah Levy ’16 spent most of her time setting up at the event and passing out hot chocolate. Garrick said, “My favorite part is definitely the hot chocolate, Hannah did a great job.”
The gingerbread house competition was a close call, but Archer sophomores — with their colorful tropical cabin — came in first place. The juniors’ Archer-inspired ginger bread house received second and the seniors, with their unique Taj Mahal creation, got third place.
